Pregnancy Interview : Maud G.
To know you better
Who are you / what do you do in life?
I am not sure that my job is the best way to define myself, but I tell you anyway… I am a Communication and Human Resources Director in a consulting firm and also a professional coach. Basically, what makes me wake up in the morning is to change people’s lives, to make it better, simplify and accompany them in the important changes for them, both professional and personal.
How old are you?
Just turned 35 years old.
In which city do you live?
Paris.
Give us an essential info to know about you?
Deeply epicurean.
How many months are you pregnant?
5 months.
Is this your first pregnancy?
2nd, I already have a 3 years old daughter.
Did you ask for the sex of your child?
No neither for the 1st nor the 2nd, I love the unknown and I found it great to have the surprise at the end.
Do you share with your loved ones the list of potential first names of your baby?
Yes I do. As we keep the surprise for sex, we share names. Their opinions do not influence us and the discussions can turn out to be very funny, if it's a girl it will be Suzanne and a boy Auguste... but we can still change our minds. Panda is not bad!
Are you rather a living encyclopedia of pregnancy or do you live in total ignorance and rely on your instinct?
Total ignorance, I'm all instinct, I ask myself very little questions, I did not do any delivery course for the first one and I did not plan to do it for this one either, I do not read any blog... and I trust doctors.
Pregnancy in one word?
Natural.
Image and self confidence
What have you ever been told about pregnancy, and what would you have liked to know?
Nothing, I love surprises (even if sometimes there are less good than expected... ahah) and discover for myself. But I recently learned that I have the right to eat Saint-Agur and that it literally changed my life.
Is your pregnancy as you expected it?
This is my second one so I already had a small glimpse but I found it long the first time, and for this one I'm crazy about the speed at which it goes, I find it hard to realize that I have nothing left but 4 months.
How do you feel with the fact that your body changes?
Frankly for now I feel very well, I'm in great shape and I get the chance to dress as I want, avoiding pregnant clothes so it's great. I just hope to avoid the stretch marks I had at the first pregnancy.
Tell us what fruit does your body look like right now?
What is this question? (lol) Have you seen the Intermarché add campaign for ugly fruits and vegetables?
Do we have the right to touch your belly?
Yes it does not bother me at all! On the contrary, it's still crazy to carry a life, it is good to share it and it doesn’t happen every day and you know, I think people's eyes change in front of a pregnant woman even the more bitter people in the metro, they have small glow that lights up... (when she does not pretend to read her book of course)
Well being
What are you most careful about? Your skin? Your weight? Your look?
I do not pay attention to what I eat and I spend very little in beauty products so without hesitation my look I love clothes and it’s having the opportunity to dress the way I want that makes me feel better.
Do you dress sexy or rather comfortable?
I'm pretty tall and blonde and what I hate the most is looking like a bimbo, so I opt most often for comfort but I like very feminine details, a touch of eccentricity and I admit I also like Glitter, even in the office for which I’m laughed at quite often but they got used to.
What did you change in your "daily routine"? Intensified something? Deleted something else?
Overall I have not changed anything except the suppression of alcohol and cigarette. For me pregnancy does not change anything in my life, just maybe evenings, I'm quite a party girl and there I have less envy I prefer to enjoy my family and the times that we have the three of us before the arrival of the new baby.
Your secret to feeling good?
Yoga! It's been 2 years that I do regularly, and contrary to what we can imagine I intensified my practice during my pregnancy. I try to go at least 4 times a week, I became completely addicted. I feel so much better in my body and my head afterwards. My day is completely changed. And especially I found my feelings I had when I was a child when I adored a sport and I practiced relentlessly everywhere I could.
What is the Heimstone silhouette that you prefer to wear since you were pregnant?
I love the Heimstone jumpsuits, I could only wear that... The Woods for the office or the weekend with sneakers, the black Gil or golden Lottie for the evening ...
Why?
Absolute comfort! These are real pajamas while remaining feminine, elegant and even sexy with the transparency of the materials. And above all that I like the touch of originality. I'm not dressed like everyone else and my belly returns without problem!
Advice for our readers?
I have plenty that I do not apply to me of course. But in my opinion the most important is “Get to know yourself, to listen to you, nobody is better placed than you to know what is good for you. Indulge yourself, let go and dare to be yourself!” and my mantra: "Impose your luck, squeeze your happiness and go to your risk. To look at you, they will get used to it” (René Char)
Pregnancy Interview : Jeanne D.
To know you better
Who are you / what do you do in life?
My name is Jeanne Deroo. Since 8 years I am a beauty reporter of the extreme for ELLE. I do not hesitate to test each new product or experience beauty even if I miss the cosmetic overdose or lumbago at times.
How old are you?
I’m 31 years.
Give us an essential info to know about you?
I love to travel and it's even better if it's with my family. My dream is to have my garden and become an expert in cooking.
What is the first thing you thought about when you learned that you were pregnant?
I was so excited but it was very early in the morning and I wondered if I was going to wake my fiancé!
How many months are you pregnant?
5 months (well, I still do not understand how we count)!
Did you ask for the sex of your child?
I asked right away and he's a boy.
Do you share with your loved ones the list of potential first names of your baby?
No, because I'm sure everyone will give me a different opinion and that will make me uncomfortable or doubtful.
Pregnancy in one word:
No Mojito. That's because I'm pregnant in summer!
Image and self confidence
Do you expect your first child? If so, what are the sensations you are experiencing for the first time? If not, what are the sensations you are experiencing this time and have not experienced the previous time?
I am much more stressed than the first time! For Orso I did not really realize that I had a future being alive with me permanently. There I know what a baby is so I am much more attentive and almost hypochondriac.
Do you feel good in your body? Yes? No? Why?
Yes, I feel very well but when I have to climb 5 floors… I feel that I'm not alone.
After how many weeks has your body really changed?
From the 2nd month with a plunging neckline and the impossibility of closing the button of my high-waisted jeans.
Are you sexually active?
Yes.
Tell us what fruit does your body look like right now?
A mature fig, very soft ahaha.
Well being
What are you most careful about? Your skin? Your weight? Your look?
My skin because for my first pregnancy it was terrible so this time I do not skip any step of cleansing to hydration.
Do you have the sensation of having a "glowy skin" or a "pizza face" since you were pregnant?
Neither. I have the advantage of being pregnant in summer and with a little tan you always have a better head even if I have often worn a hat.
What are you doing to feel pretty / fulfilled?
I did not buy pregnant clothes because they depress me and I'm doing very well with my wardrobe of shirts. I only invest in jeans and shorts.
Do you dress sexy or rather comfortable?
A bit of both since I kept the same wardrobe.
What did you change in your "daily routine"? Intensified something? Deleted something else?
Nothing changed except on the food or I try not to eat too much charcuterie and cheese because I did not have toxoplasmosis but it's hard to resist.
Your secret to feeling good?
As for Orso, I have a super masseuse (Stephanie 06 19 28 32 18) who comes to my house to massage my legs to avoid too much water retention. It is a very big investment but its "palpate roll" makes me feel good crazy, I really want to avoid to have toes which look like small Knacki sausages and it really makes me feel lighter.
What is the Heimstone silhouette that you prefer to wear since you were pregnant? Why?
The Doll pants without hesitation! Ideal if you put it above the belly and super stylish while being mega comfortable.
Advice for our readers?
Even if I am a bad student and I have trouble applying it for me, I would never forget to oil with sweet almond or cover myself with shea butter every morning and evening to soften the skin as much as possible.
