Pregnancy Interview : Clelia B.
To know you better
Who are you / what do you do in life?
Happy working wife, mum and twin! It is a good resume!
I like to spend time with my family, travel, cook, I love nature and Yoga!
I am amazed looking at my daughter growing up (she is almost 5 years old).
I am lucky to have a job that I love, I am the manager of the concept stores Smallable.
How old are you?
35 years old.
In which city do you live?
Boulogne-Billancourt.
Give us an essential info to know about you?
I like professional challenges, I was a model, then a PR manager in two luxurious hotels in NYC, I then became an entrepreneur by creating the concept store Dalia and Rose, and now at Smallable where I was here for the opening of the first store and now the second one.
How many months are you pregnant?
A little bit more than 5 months and a half.
Is this your first pregnancy?
It is my second pregnancy.
Did you ask for the sex of your child?
No, we didn’t ask the first time either, it is kind of magical to discover the sex on the D day!
Do you share with your loved ones the list of potential first names of your baby?
We already had a name for a girl and for a boy that we choose with my husband. We only shared them with our close family.
Are you rather a living encyclopedia of pregnancy or do you live in total ignorance and rely on your instinct?
I work in a kids universe where I have to advise pregnant women, so I am quite aware on the subject! But personally, I have to say that I really go with my instinct.
Pregnancy in one word?
Intense!
Image and self confidence
What have you ever been told about pregnancy, and what would you have liked to know?
That there is as many pregnancies as there are women, that you have to listen to yourself and to your body, and learn to take your time. (very hard when you are hyperactive as I am!)
And also, we have the right, at one point, to be fed up with pregnancy.
Is your pregnancy as you expected it?
No. My mum had a very easy pregnancy (she was expecting twins), I thought it would be the same for me. But both my pregnancies were hard. It is really amazing to feel the baby moving and growing in the tummy, but to be honest I cannot wait for it to be in my arms.
How do you feel with the fact that your body changes?
Well, but I am still quite frustrated with my belly that takes so long to really show! I love when it is big and round and when people can see it.
Tell us what fruit does your body look like right now?
A pear with 2 legs.
Do we have the right to touch your belly?
Yes.
Well being
What are you most careful about? Your skin? Your weight? Your look?
My skin that is much more dry. And my look, I mean, it is not always easy to get dressed!
Do you dress sexy or rather comfortable?
Both don’t seem incompatible, but please, comfort first!
What did you change in your "daily routine"? Intensified something? Deleted something else?
No real changes, I just make sure I drink a lot of water, and I had to give up on few yoga postures!
Your secret to feeling good?
Yoga, that allow me to deeply relax my body and my head.
What is the Heimstone silhouette that you prefer to wear since you were pregnant? Why?
The Java dress: feminine and ultra-comfortable pregnant.
Advice for our readers?
Listen to yourself more than ever and take care of yourself!

I live in London.

I grew up in Paris, and lived in NYC for almost 10 years.

It’s my first time being pregnant, I am just 4 months pregnant.
Did you ask for the sex of your child?
Yes! I couldn’t wait, it’s a little boy.
Do you share with your loved ones the list of potential first names of your baby?
The name has already been chosen and shared with my friends and family!
Are you rather a living encyclopedia of pregnancy or do you live in total ignorance and rely on your instinct?
A little bit of both, I love to read to learn about it, but I also appreciate the fact that my body and life know better than I do!
Pregnancy in one word?
A trek or a walk in the mountains.
Image and self confidence
What have you ever been told about pregnancy, and what would you have liked to know?
Probably how it feels in the belly, and how nauseas can be bad. I was really sick for the first months, and I clearly didn’t understand that pregnancy could be so violent on the stomach.
Is your pregnancy as you expected it?
More or less. I didn’t think I would be that tired!
How do you feel with the fact that your body changes?
The beginning has been very challenging, the 2-3 first weeks of mutation, but I am now the happiest woman, and to know that my belly is a safe shelter for this little boy makes me enjoy every minute of it.
Tell us what fruit does your body look like right now?
A cherry!
Do we have the right to touch your belly?
Yes! But it depends! The too forward move makes me uncomfortable, I prefer if my friends ask questions about it and then I’ll have them to touch.
Well being
What are you most careful about? Your skin? Your weight? Your look?
I think I pay more attention to my skin. Weight is something so different from a woman to another, but I definitely pay more attention to what I eat.
Do you dress sexy or rather comfortable?
I mix both, a loose boy’s shirt with flair pants, or a legging with an oversized jumper. If one part of my body is tight, the other one is loose.
What did you change in your "daily routine"? Intensified something? Deleted something else?
I stopped smoking, and now spend this budget on lotions, I cover myself in oils all the time.
I also added 15 minutes of daily meditation. I am not very good at this practice, but I love the idea of devoting 15 minutes of my day to my baby.
Your secret to feeling good?
I have an amazing massager once every 2 weeks, he helps me with my blood circulation and he helps me to relax. I really love seeing him because he makes me feel light, which is not easy when you are pregnant.
What is the Heimstone silhouette that you prefer to wear since you were pregnant? Why?
I love my Ellis mohair knit that I wear with an ecru silk skirt or my boyfriend baggy jeans or a pair of overalls!
Advice for our readers?
Your body will never allow you to do what it is not capable of doing, so believe in it and in yourself, and please enjoy, the first pregnancy will never happen twice!
